there is a new mechanism for doing repeated/parallel standalone simulations, see see the discussion here: Running multiple standalone simulations [Request for Feedback] - #21 by mstimberg It is not released yet, but you can install and test it directly from the branch. Does that do what you are interested in? If not, please reply over in that discussion thread.
