Does someone know a good reference that explains the Exponential Euler integrator?
Not very detailed, but there’s an explanation on p.334 in chapter 20 
of the GENESIS simulator book.
If you have access to the book Theoretical Neuroscience by Dayan & Abbott, there is a good explanation in Appendix 5.11A of chapter 5
